Molly's sharing what it's like to work on Brafton's sales team, plus a little about herself in this week's employee spotlight.

She joined the Brafton team fresh with her Bachelors Degree from the University of New Hampshire in tow. Now, a year later Molly Winter’s been promoted to senior lead generation executive, was recognized as one of the Top Q2 Performers in her department, and is well on her way to becoming a successful business development executive.

As a speech pathology major at UNH, Molly admits sales wasn’t the path she originally planned to take.

“I’ve always been outgoing and love meeting new people, so everyone kept telling me to get into sales,” she said. “Talking is something that comes naturally to me, in speech pathology and now in lead generation, so it’s really helped me succeed.”

The best aspect of being part of our lead generation team?

“I love the way my team can make fun of each other and be laughing one second, but the next second we’re all working hard and making phone calls. It’s an awesome dynamic!”

Along with the friendly competition, Molly said lead generation is exciting because she’s given the challenge of gaining a person’s trust and building a relationship – sometimes in under two minutes.

“Through jobs like lead generation and sales you start to learn what you excel at,” she said. “You just need to play to your strengths and try not to let rejection get to you. Smile and dial baby, smile and dial.”

Q: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian more than anything. I love all animals and I always end up having a great connection with them.  I worked as a veterinary assistant in high school, which was amazing. But the thought of putting dogs to sleep did not sit well with me, so that dream was crushed.

Q: What do you think is the most important quality for success?

Drive and humility.  Drive, of course, to push yourself to always be better and get what you want. The second is humility. If you give people respect and work your butt off every day, they notice and you will see that hard work pays off. There is always room for improvement!

Q: What do you value most in a job?

I would say what attracted me to Brafton in the first place was the environment of the Sales and Lead Gen teams and also the support that we give one another. It’s a fun environment, but everyone is working hard to get somewhere. Also the support I receive from colleagues, managers, directors is a huge deal for me and definitely keeps me going.

Q: What is your most treasured possession?

Please don’t make fun, but I have a blanket I sleep with every night that I have had since the day I was born.

Q: Which day of the work week are you the most productive?

Tuesday is my arch nemesis. I would say Thursday is my best day!

Q: What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

Definitely knowing that every day I come in I know I’ll laugh or smile at least once during the day.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement?

So far in my life, my greatest achievement would be moving to Boston right after college and finding success in my career.  I consider it a big deal to be in a great place as a young professional right out of school.

Q: Have any “hidden talents”?

I can wiggle my ears! I’m also awesome at Family Feud…

Q: If Brafton were a TV show, which character – from any sitcom, drama or reality show (of any time period) – would represent you?

The Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo.  This is a Lead Gen team decision.  I’m definitely loud and feisty, and pack quite the punch!  I’m also warm hearted like Theresa! The only issue is I can’t communicate with the dead.
