Recognizing the growing importance that mobile devices are playing in companies' marketing campaigns, Google yesterday introduced five new landing page template to help companies mobilize their operations.

Between location-based searching, automatic mobile rendering for websites, various SEO-geared functions and, now, this latest landing page development, Google is evidently making an effort to enable companies to make mobile search a greater part of their business. In its introduction of mobile landing page templates, the company explained that more than half of Americans are more likely to buy from brands that have mobile content.

Google has designed five customizable templates restaurants, local businesses, lead generation, social content and eCommerce. The search giant has also included a custom option through which companies can build their landing pages to suit their own taste and edit the content as needed.

“Building on last week’s post on automatic mobile rendering, we're excited to introduce five new templates to make it easier for businesses to create mobile landing pages. You can also start from scratch with our custom template if you're feeling creative,” wrote Google mobile specialist Shiv Kumar on the company's official blog.

As Brafton has reported, more businesses are relying on mobility to bolster their marketing strategies and connect with more potential customers. This trend has become especially prevalent with the rise of the mobile internet. According to recent figures from the Mobile Marketing Association, 58 percent of American smartphone owners use their handsets to access the internet every day.
