When asked about Max Christopoulos, Braftonians around the salesroom in Boston had quite a few praises to sing: “He’s an example of excellence,” “He’s a great multitasker” and “He’s got the voice of an angel” were just a few that stood out.

As Brafton’s most tenured senior business development executive, Max has had the opportunity to see a lot of (great) changes around the company. He climbed the ranks from lead generation into a business development role – successfully launched the sales department within our sister company ContentLEAD – and returned to Brafton stronger than ever. And it’s the emphasis on a one-team approach that Max says has not only helped harbor his success, but has been the biggest game changer in Brafton’s sales process.

“There’s now a lot more visibility into everyone’s performance and coordination between the marketing, lead gen and sales departments,” he said. “We are all working together toward a common goal.”

Aside from his vocal chops (which he sometimes unleashes at our quarterly awards ceremonies) and uncanny Taylor Lautner resemblance – we appreciate Max’s desire to stay sharp on the latest developments in SEO, content marketing and inbound strategies. His consistency since he joined the team has been simply unparalleled.

“Content marketing is now a major focus of many organizations and there are myriad competitors in our marketplace,” he said. “When I started, there was a massive learning curve for marketers to grasp why they would want to add content to their websites regularly. I recommend people read a book called Crossing the Chasm which talks about adoption of technology and trends – it’s pretty indicative of the shift our market has experienced over the past six to seven years.”

Q: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Q: What do you think is the most important quality needed for success?  

IRCEAttitude (outlook on life) and perseverance. There’s an old John Prine song I like called “That’s The Way That The World Goes Round” that is really true to life. It’s basic premise is that everybody has good and bad moments and if you can keep your attitude positive and “keep on keeping on” during the bad, good things are bound to start happening again. The successful people I have met in life seem to embody this.   

Q: What do you value most in a job?  

I really enjoy learning about how different companies operate and the nuances specific to each vertical.  

Q: What is your most treasured possession?   

A tie between a family photo album from a summer reunion and my golf clubs.   

Q: Which day of the work week are you the most productive?  

Thursday.

Q: What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

The rush I still get when I close new business – never gets old.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement?   

The friends, old and new, that I’ve been able to make and keep throughout my life and my relationship with my family. I feel very blessed in that regard.

I play guitar and sing, but I usually hate doing it in public.
