Content Marketing World, now in its fifth year, is being hosted by the Content Marketing Institute at the Cleveland Convention Center, September 8-11. It’s expected to bring together more than 3,500 attendees representing more than 550 companies across industries. The Brafton team will be in attendance  – and we couldn’t be more excited.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be participating in Content Marketing World this year,” CSMO Allen Schweitzer said. “The sessions, the speakers and overall agenda make this a can’t-miss event for anyone who wants to make the most out of their content strategy.  I’m personally very much looking forward to being part of it.”

Allen will represent Brafton alongside our company president, Tom Agnew. Business development executives Abby Woodward and Paul Torpey will also be in attendance on Brafton’s behalf (Booth #89!)

With more than 225 speakers and 150 sessions to choose from, we went directly to the source – the experts at Content Marketing Institute – to hear about their exclusive picks for can’t-miss sessions, plus what veteran attendees can expect for changes to this year’s conference.

CM World Sessions
  • John Cleese’s Keynote

“Even though I love all 80+ sessions (heck, I programmed them), I can’t wait to hear John Cleese’s take on creativity.  I don’t think people are aware of his thoughts and experiences in this area.  He’s going to blow people away.” Joe Pulizzi, CMI Founder

  • Applied Analytics: Using Data to Make Better Content Marketing Decisions

“I’m really looking forward to listening to Andy Crestodina. I may sound like a broken record, because I always say this. But, Andy teaches me something new every single time we talk. And not just Oh, I understand, but actually, Oh – I understand the importance of that – AND I can do that right now.”  Cathy McPhillips, Marketing Director

  • The Content Wheel: Sustaining Momentum with Greater ROI While Punching Unicorns in the Face

“Really – I can’t choose just one! I have a long list of mustattend sessions, but I am really excited about this one, which Jay Acunzo will present.” Michele Lin, Vice President of Content

CMWorld AdviceBe present and get outside of your comfort zone.

“While you’ll get a great experience by going to the sessions and learning, you’ll have an even better experience if you meet people and try the different things that are offered (yes, that means getting off your phone and laptop).” Michele

Talk to fellow attendees and speakers between sessions.

“I’m in introvert, so networking and talking to new people is not something that comes naturally to me, but the community at CMW is so welcoming that it’s easy to talk to anyone (really). I always learn so much – and really appreciate – all of the hallway conversations and change meetings. I have so many new ideas and perspectives each year; I feel recharged!” Michele

Don’t miss top networking event: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

“It’s an excellent way to kick off the event, to see old friends, meet new ones, and catch up and talk content marketing. I love the space because obviously it’s super cool and full of so much history, but also it’s really conducive for conversations because of the open air feel. It was my favorite networking event two years ago and I’m so glad we’re returning there!” Cathy

CMWorld 2015
More actionable “take homes”

“We focused more than ever on ROI and measurement, as well as what it takes to develop a documented content marketing strategy.  Those are the two key areas that marketers are challenged with, and we responded with more sessions.” Joe

Attendees’ content caliber is higher than ever

“This is my third CMWorld, and though I SHOULD love the event being part of the CMI team, I really love it because of the people that are coming. I’m starstruck not only by the bigger names like Rand Fishkin and Ann Handley, but also all of the brand marketers who are killing it with their content marketing. I get to meet the faces behind so many incredible programs. I’m in awe of their creativity and their marketing brains.” Cathy
