Market research firm comScore recently reported that Facebook's value as a social media marketing tool grows every day.

In its recently released “10 Things You Need to Know About Social Networking and Where it’s Headed,” market research firm comScore points to Facebook as the most valuable social media marketing tool for all businesses.

Since its launch in 2004, Facebook has become the most popular social network in almost every nation it has entered. Most recently, it surpassed Hyves, a social network in the Netherlands, to take the top spot there. In fact, of the 43 markets comScore monitors, Facebook is the leading social network in 30, the company said in its report.

For marketers, the value of Facebook grows every day as new users join the website and begin accessing content. Producing engaging social media marketing content can be difficult given the sheer size of the network and the massive range of demographics using it. However, original links to website content, engaging videos and other methods can help businesses appeal to new customers.

Facebook’s dominance in social and as an overall web property is demonstrated by any number of metrics. Most recently, Brafton highlighted comScore’s web property assessment, which pegged Facebook as the third most valuable behind Google and Microsoft.
