During a time where most companies are struggling with their finances, the people at the SMX West conference are taking a novel approach to attracting attendees – a satisfaction guarantee.

This week the promoters for the conference, which will be covering topics from pay per click to search engine optimization (SEO), announced it will offer full credit to a future SMX event of equal or lesser value if they are not completely satisfied with their experience.

Chris Elwell, president of Third Door Media, the organizers of the event, said they have confidence making the guarantee because of the programming team and faculty behind the conference.

"Budgets are tight and spending must be justified," he said. "Our satisfaction guarantee is the right policy to assure prospective attendees they’ll receive value in these difficult times."

In order to receive credit, unsatisfied attendees must write a 500 word email detailing how they think the event could be improved in the future.

The SMX West conference runs February 10th through the 12th in Santa Clara, California and is 100 percent focused on search engine marketing.
