As it becomes easier for people to head online to do their shopping, an increasing number of people are choosing to buy clothes on the internet, which has a number of apparel companies turning to search engine optimization (SEO) to help draw traffic.

One of those companies is Wrangler, a jean company perhaps best known for its commercials featuring NFL quarterback Brett Favre. With the launch of its new site, the company made search engine optimization (SEO) part of its roll-out by creating not only a Flash version of the site, but an all-HTML version as well.

Teresa Zobrist, president of Zobrist Consulting, the company that helped Wrangler with the new site, says the improvements will help organic search and lead to a better user experience.

"Together with Wrangler and their design team, we’ve created a site that will enable Wrangler consumers to easily and enjoyably find the products they want," she said. "The new site helps Wrangler reach new consumers with improved SEO, and provide a smooth online experience with the improved shopping flow and single-page checkout."

Wrangler is not the only jean company to make search engine optimization (SEO) a bigger part of its ecommerce site. Recently jeans company Lee announced it had also created a Flash and non-Flash version to increase organic results.
