Yahoo announced on Monday a pair of new features to its Image Search that will allow users to search for images easier than they had previously. Additionally, the new social sharing buttons will allow people to share photos on Facebook and Twitter directly from the Image Search page.

Making it as easy as possible for people to share content socially will make websites more attractive for users. For businesses using social media marketing, strong visual content will encourage users searching for images to share their photos, which will boost engagement and visibility of their websites.

Much like Google, Yahoo has implemented continuous scrolling, the company announced. In the past, users searching for photos had to click through pages and pages to find new photos. However, continuous scrolling will simply load new photos as users reach the bottom of the web page.

Both features are available in all four Image Search tabs on Yahoo. In its announcement, Yahoo said it expects these features will allow users to enjoy a more complete search experience.

Brafton recently reported that Yahoo, as part of Bing-powered search, has struggled to compete with Google in recent months. Google consistently dominates at least 66 percent of the search market, with Yahoo and Bing combining for about 30 percent.
