Carey International was the first limousine company in the U.S., and they remained an uncontested leader in this space up until recently when similar services started to come along. With an increase in competition, Carey needed to pivot their brand messaging to stay competitive and remain on top. They already had a digital marketing strategy in place, including profiles on major social networks, but with the new branding direction came a need for a stronger approach on social.
Without the internal bandwidth to really make their social presence worthwhile, Carey turned to Brafton, who was already helping with content creation, for assistance. What they needed was for someone to run a strong organic strategy with little to no oversight, and who could learn Carey’s brand brand voice and messaging quickly and effectively.
The Social Media Strategist assigned to manage the client’s social networks dove in headfirst, learning the brand’s voice and messaging in order to craft on-brand copy for their social profiles. The Strategist quickly adapted to Carey International’s brand voice and was producing posts indistinguishable from that of an in-house employee within just two weeks.
With a strong voice behind the copy, sharing the client’s Brafton-created content led to major initial improvements. Over a nine-month period, Carey International saw the number of Facebook and Twitter followers increase 20.4% and 24.8%, respectively. People began to engage more with Carey on these platforms as well, with a 1,357% boost in engagement on Twitter and 329.5% more engagement on Facebook. The next step will be to start converting more of this growing fan base into customers.
