Among the new features added to the latest iteration of Google’s YouTube app for iOS is the ability to access channels a user subscribes to more easily. For those using video marketing, appealing to users with video could now result in frequent access by a prospect.

In the bottom right hand corner of the iPhone or iPad screen, a button appears that users can swipe to bring up all of the channels they subscribe to. Companies that produce frequent, relevant video content marketing material can keep users engaged and consistently provide opportunities for conversion among their on-the-go viewers.

According to Google, 25 percent of all YouTube views come from various mobile devices, whether they’re smartphones or tablets. Making it easier for marketers to deliver content to mobile audiences can make campaigns more effective, and help video become a more impactful form of content for companies.

The only snag as far as attracting Apple’s mobile users is that YouTube will not be pre-loaded onto the iPhone when iOS 6 rolls out. However, the site’s overwhelming popularity will likely lead to frequent downloads. Brafton highlighted YouTube’s disclusion from the latest version of the iPhone last month, reporting that the companies’ agreement regarding the app has expired, but there was no doubt users would access YouTube if they wanted it.
