A report from AllFacebook.com focused on how social media marketing with Facebook dramatically increased one company's conversion rate.

AllFacebook.com recently highlighted an interview with social media marketing expert Trevor Legwinski saying that the platform has helped countless organizations improve referrals and boost web leads.

According to Legwinski, companies with effective campaigns gain access not only to fans, but also to valuable friends of fans who will see any of their connections’ brand-related activities on their news feeds. As such, any recommendation acts essentially as a modern form of word-of-mouth advertising. He reported a study where Facebook fans advocated a brand’s page to 12 friends on average.

Within one month, the company Legwinski discussed saw a 433 percent increase in their conversion rate, according to AllFacebook.com.

Boosting a presence on social media platforms can help businesses appeal to new prospects and increase the visibility of a brand on the web. Moreover, the traffic generated through social platforms helps increase overall website traffic, which means social enhances SEO initiatives as well.

Facebook may be the social giant, but businesses looking for extensive social media marketing now have new Twitter opportunities. Brafton reported on Thursday that the company announced new brand pages aimed at making the website more effective for brand use.

Joe Meloni is Brafton's former Executive News and Content Writer. He studied journalism at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has written for a number of print and web-based publications.
